Challenge 2: AI red-teaming with PyRIT + MITRE ATLAS mapping

An AI red-team report: you use PyRIT to automate adversarial attacks against a model and then map each technique to MITRE ATLAS (the "ATT&CK of AI"). This is the artifact sought by AI threat hunting and detection engineering roles.
Where to run this: on your machine, inside the Step 0 environment. Although PyRIT originated at Microsoft, it is open source and agnostic: it works with local models (Ollama/Hugging Face) or any provider.
Why it matters for employment
Mastercard/Mandiant/CrowdStrike JDs ask for "AI threat hunting," "operationalizing threat intelligence," and "leveraging Agentic AI." MITRE ATLAS is the standard language for describing threats to ML systems — speaking it separates you from the average candidate.
Steps

✅ Success criteria
- At least 3 distinct attack techniques executed with PyRIT.
- Each mapped to a MITRE ATLAS technique by ID/name.
- Included one countermeasure per technique (defender mindset, not only attacker).
- The report distinguishes successful attack from attack blocked by the model.
Only against your own or authorized models. Unauthorized red-teaming of third-party systems is illegal and may constitute a crime.
